I am a Baltimore newborn photographer specializing in newborn family photography. I love to include the whole family in our session instead of having baby in props and wraps. Through both posed and candid shots I aim to capture the connection and sweet moments that come with having a newborn. And of course all their tiny features.
What is your style of newborn photography?

Those first 2-3 weeks after you deliver are ideal. This is because babies are generally still very sleepy at this point.
That being said, as a 2 time C-section mom, I have chose to do my kids newborn photos at 3-4 weeks. It took me until this point to feel pretty much fully recovered from my surgery. We will talk about your preferences and see what works best for your family.
Sessions are scheduled for 2 weeks after your due date. We can adjust if needed but typically when scheduled this way the date doesn't need to be moved.
When is best for a newborn session?

There is no such thing as too soon. I do limit the amount of newborns I take on in a month due to the nature of not knowing when they will arrive. This allows me to be able to fit everyone in but in turn limits the amount that I can commit to in a month.
How far in advance should I book my newborn session?

Although this is a personal preference I will say that I know the natural light in the studio is amazing and lighting is so important in photography. Sometimes a home that has poor natural light can be very challenging for consistency.
I also absolutely love going into homes and being able to incorporate all the details of the nursery. Your home is so intimate and well.. you.
It comes down to your style preference, the circumstances surrounding your home and what makes you feel most comfortable/less stressed!

After our session I get right to work on editing your gallery. You will receive your gallery electronically within 2 weeks from our session date. Trust me, I am just as excited to show you as you are to see them!
How long does it take to receive my gallery?

Most newborn sessions last 60-90 minutes. This allows time for feeding and changing breaks as needed.

INVESTMENT STARTING AT $750
I offer the option to either come to your home or have you at my studio. There are advantages to both options, it really depends on what will be easiest for you. Often moms are stressing about having the nursery or their home "photo ready". While it really is easier then it sounds (and we work with what you have), I understand not wanting that added stress. I am happy to chat more to decided which would be best for your session if you are unsure!

Step 1 of 5
After we go over the details, schedule your session ASAP. Newborn sessions are often scheduled a few months in advance so available dates can be limited. This isn't meant to pressure you but it is always best to book early.

Step 2 of 5
A $250 session fee is all you need to get on my schedule. You don't have to pick a set number of images until you receive your gallery. That way you only are paying for the images you love!

Woo-hoo! Its picture day! Your outfits are planned, your home is prepped and all your questions have been taken care of. All you need to do is simply love on your beautiful babe! I will guide you into poses and make sure you are looking your best- I got you girl!

When I reached out to Julie initially, she was quick to respond, helpful in answering all of my questions, and accommodating with arranging a place and date/time for our photoshoot.
